Website Activity and User Changes

We are seeing a good number of people now coming and registering to our new website. This is great, it is nice to see you guys coming to the TLN central hub. However, we need to keep promoting the site among our existing and new members. All new members referrals should first be referred to apply to the clan via the website application, then directed on what to do on battlelog to get their games and to join the platoon there.
We have resolved the password and account info issues that developed last week. If you cannot login to the website for whatever reason. Please just use the contact us page and say that you cannot login and you will be emailed a new password. This should solve the issue for anyone who has been unable to login since last week.
A great number of people have said they are unsure where to go on the website to get the info. Well you go to the games you’re interested in on the top menu bar then in the game page at the top is the link to the Group / Forums.. These are two separate pages, the Group is for small quick comments and works like the battlelog or FB walls. The second area is the Forums. In this area you can post any topic you want to continue the conversation in any existing thread. We will be creating soon a TLN member group where all members no matter the game they play can sound off about anything.
The key here is activity.. What we are asking is that the members use the voice they have to tell us what they like or dislike about clan topics, game topics, suggestions for the games we’re in or the clan or the website. Be involved, help the officers and I know how we’re doing and if our decisions are correct.. Please know that the officers and I value every members opinion and we want to hear it, see it and read yours.
So use the website, make it your daily stop when you’re surfing. Post, comment just say Hi… Whatever.. Just use it !!
Now for the final thing in this post… I would like to take a poll among every TLN member.. Is this website better than Facebook and Battlelog to serve our members???? We need to know if all this is worth the effort and the expense…. Please vote below and tell us what you think in the comments… Nothing is out of bounds in this discussion, don’t worry about hurting anyone’s feelings.. We need to know and you our members are the only ones who can tell us… Leave your comment

My honest opinion is that the website is a total success.The fact that theres no useless shit going around, that what you want to find you find it,that its just me and people i know and things that are relevant is very comforting-and practical.Battlelog and Fb wouldnt do half the job that TLN needs.Good job to everyone that helped make this site!

I think the site is a great success so far, and I think it’ll be amazing when everyone gets on here instead of facebook. It’s nice to be able to see everything from one site. Now, I can see this definitely replacing facebook, but I can’t see us getting away from Battlelog. There is too much that is game specific on battlelog, but I think overall the website will be the way. Maybe a little “build it and they will come: is appropriate here. lol
I’ve added a poll so please vote on that as well as commenting. I also changed the instructions on what to do if you cannot login.

Create the poll on the dashboard, go to manage polls and note the id of your poll. On the post editor, click the insert poll button on the toolbar, put the id in and you have a poll. It will only work on posts and pages, not on the forums or on status updates.
tried this procedure already with no success but we will try it again..
What happened when you tried it? It will only work in news posts and pages or it will just show the short code and not the poll.
Ok I dont think its better than fb but with that said am still playing in the web site, I use fb alot and there you can see right away if anyone posted something. But I think for a clan this web site is very kool for me I like going to one place to check things read and so on.
I still checking things out here and seeing how things work I know now about how to look at the groups and forms what Ive been doing is posting something small and see if anyone comments back ?? Am hoping everyone one give this a try for the best but finding theres less members here than what was on facebook ot battle log AM Not a battle log Lover.
As am Co am more than willing to give this the best shot of making it work and asking all members to do the same .

Dexter here is a tip… On the top of the screen it say Talon Strike Force and then it says “My Account” in this under activity is several filters, Personal, Mentions, Favorites Friends and Groups..
If you choose mentions for instance it will give you all posts where your name is mentioned. If you go to favorites, it will give you every post you hit as faorite (Like) on. If you go to friends it will give you all the posts your friends made and finally if you select groups it will give you the most recent posts from all groups you’re a member of… Hope this helps you navigate better.. I use it this wall all the time. Plus I visit each group and forum I am in ..

Also if you look under the tab that says “community” there is an activity and everyone of your friends post show up there…
I have to say, after helping out with the event last night, this web page is REALLY growing on me!! The way you can book into an event, then we can go back and see all the entrants is awesome. Polls?? Kick ass!! Haven’t tried it myself yet, but we’ll get to that. Just think of all the shit we had to go through with booking events on facebook… had to cross reference all of our names… blah blah blah, oh this is WAY easier!!

tbh main reason why i prefer using battlelog over the site is because im not a forum kind of person. ive played many online games and never used forums for them because imo i dont really see the point, i talk to friends and people in games and usally find out info form them more than i do from the sites. but thats just me.
